System for oil quantity measurement and quality rating - cluster sampling installation
The installation SIKN GZU-GKS is designed for:
- continuous technological accounting of gas–and-water oil emulsion recovered from oilfields;
- automated quantity and quality characterization of gas liquid emulsion (watering);
- compulsory checking of active oil well yield.
Field of the installation application – the systems of wells production recovery and automatic control systems of oil extraction process.
The quantity of oil wells put into operation amounts from 1 to14.
The system SIKN GZU-GKS measures the parameters of such medium as liquid-gas mixture.

The category and class of explosion and fire safety of the installation SIKN GZU-GKS is determined according to NPB 105-03, PUE - В-1g, the category and class of the explosive mixture is defined according to GOST Р 11-99, GOST 51330, GOST Р 51330, GOST 99 – I PA-Т3.
The installation design is implemented in compliance with the requirements of the appropriate standards of industrial safety and OST К26.260.18-2004; OST 26-291-94.
Principle of operation
Liquid-gas mixture from the wells enters the chamber flow transducer (KPR) through back-pressure valves and gates. High-speed electronic liquid flow meter processes the flow transducer input signal according to appropriate algorithm, calculates and displays registration of the fluid mass in kgs on digital readout and then outputs normalized signal for its transfer into the remote control system. Liquid-gas mixture from the liquid flow meter is discharged into the output gathering main.
It is possible to install a flow mixer, a Water-Holdup Meter (to determine oil water content), a probe for manual sampling ( to determine the quality of crude oil) downstream the liquid-gas mixture flow.
To remove air blocks at filling the installation GZU-GKS, pressure relief and working fluid residuals discharge the drainage system is provided. To direct the flow of liquid -gas mixture from the wells into the common manifold not determining its production rate some bypasses are provided.
In the liquid flow meter and industrial pipe-lines pressure gages are installed to visually control any excessive pressure. To control pressure and transmit the appropriate pressure alarm signal into the remote control system the electro contact pressure sensor is provided in the output manifold.
Technical characteristics of the installation SIKN GZU-GKS
Overall dimensions and mass of the installation SIKN GZU-GKS are determined at the stage of projecting and depend on the figure of the wells put into operation and their maximal production rate.
SIKN GZU-GKS consists of:
- rack of GZU;
- liquid flow meters;
- a flow mixer (if necessary);
- a Water-Holdup Meter (if necessary);
- a probe (if necessary);
- pressure sensors and gages (if necessary);
- instrumentation;
- supply industrial pipelines;
- gathering main;
- drainage and air blast pipelines system;
- shutoff valves;
- hardware-controlled block (control unit, display unit, power-generating unit)
